Accessibility
Construction Safety Today is published by TC Media Group. We want everyone to be able to read it, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
How the site is built
- Every page is plain HTML that works without JavaScript, with one heading structure and a skip link to the main content.
- Text can be resized to at least 200% without loss of content, and the layout works on a phone with no sideways scrolling.
- Colours meet the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratio, and links are underlined or otherwise distinguishable without colour.
- Every photograph, chart and graphic has a text description. Charts also give their figures in the description and in a table on the page.
- Tables have captions and header cells, and the site has no autoplaying media, pop-ups or cookie banners.
We test pages against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard with automated checks before each release, and aim for every page type to pass in full.
Known limitations
Photographs supplied by organisations in a story are described by us from what they show. PDF documents linked from stories are published by other organisations and may not be accessible.
