NEBOSH opens registration for free online conference on 1 December
The awarding body's sixth annual online conference will include a session on health, safety and environment management on major projects, with all sessions available on demand afterwards.
NEBOSH has opened registration for its free 2026 Online Conference on 1 December, a one-day event for occupational health and safety professionals that will include a session on managing health, safety and environment on major projects.
The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), which provides health, safety and environmental qualifications, said the event would stream online from 9.30am UK time and that attendance is free.
The organisation said the conference is designed for both new and experienced professionals, and that delegates would be able to download a digital certificate of attendance. All sessions will be available to watch on demand after the event.
NEBOSH's announcement does not name the 2026 speakers. It said the conference would feature expert speakers sharing practical insights, emerging trends and real-world experiences.
The agenda
The session on health, safety and environment management on major projects is the item most directly relevant to construction. The 2026 agenda also includes a session on artificial intelligence in practice for OSH professionals.
Other sessions announced by NEBOSH cover the human factor in environmental performance, career development after qualification, how to ensure occupational health support is right for a business, the strategy-behaviour gap, and moving from compliance to influence.
The 2026 conference is sponsored by Gulf Academy of Safety, NIST Global, RRC International and SHEilds, NEBOSH said.
Under NEBOSH's terms and conditions for the event, there is no registration fee and the conference is hosted on the ON24 platform. The terms state that the event will be available on demand for a maximum of 12 months after 1 December 2026.
Background
The 2026 event is the sixth edition of the conference. NEBOSH held its first Online Conference in October 2021, which it says welcomed thousands of virtual attendees from around the world and had a resilience theme.
Matt Powell-Howard, NEBOSH Head of Learning and Partnerships, said at the time that "NEBOSH's vision is to make the world of work a safer and healthier place".
The 2025 edition took place on 25 November 2025. According to NEBOSH, its 2025 agenda covered slips and falls, personal protective equipment, workplace wellbeing, engaging workers in accident prevention, the future of the OSH professional, and protection against terrorism.
NEBOSH was founded in 1979. It reports almost 550,000 successful learners, more than 600 Learning Partners and exams in over 130 countries, and says tens of thousands of people from more than 150 countries study for one of its qualifications each year.
In December 2013 the Health and Safety Executive, Great Britain's regulator, chose NEBOSH to develop an accredited Diploma for its inspectors.
Registration for the 2026 conference is open on the NEBOSH website ahead of the event on 1 December.
